With a turnover which has grown by 2537%, Bookeen has taken 4th place for fastest-growing technology companies in the national awards by the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2011.
Being named one of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 rewards the dynamism of the most promising technology companies. The program ranks the technology companies with the highest percentage growth in revenue over five years. Bookeen’s excellent performance has enabled them to qualify as laureate of the 11th Deloitte Technology Fast 50. These rankings are assigned in terms of the rate of growth of turnover between 2006 and 2010. Bookeen realised a turnover of 2537 % during this period partly thanks to flourishing international sales. For example, in 2010 Bookeen sold the Cybook in more than 50 countries.
“Being named one of the Technology Fast 50 by Deloitte means being one of the leaders in the French market for 5 years and demonstrating exceptional qualities in an industry which is currently extremely competitive” said Ariane Bucaille, Associate of Technology Fast 50 at Deloitte. “We warmly congratulate Bookeen for being ranked one of the fastest-growing technology companies in France.”
According to Michael Dahan, co-founder of Bookeen: “This prestigious award recognizes that Bookeen has managed to position itself as a brand of reference in a highly competitive e-reader market. With the Cybook Odyssey, the latest innovative e-reader from Bookeen, we are able to demonstrate that French technology companies have a major role in the international High Tech industry. Bookeen currently makes its devices compatible with the most prestigious bookstores in Europe by supplying the ebook reader as well as our know how in the area of content distribution plateforme.”
