Is it true? Nobody actually knows beacuse it is not for sale yet… We could trust detailed description and several pictures shown at the txtr website, but it would be better to have a real device for testing and use.
Customers can pre-order the device and thus book a place in the “list on a first-come, first served basis”. Release was planned for the third quarter of 2009, but still postponed.
The price is relatively high – 299 Euro. Compeering with advanced devices like Sony PRS and Amazon Kindle the txtr must have many advanced features to compete on the e-readers market today. Or just to be oriented to a certain geographical area and audience – German speaking readers in this case. The txtr Reader’s wireless connectivity is provided by the German network operator E-Plus. The txtr Store offers the most comprehensive assortment of German-language content and also a large number of English ebooks, too.
dbReaders.com will continue to follow the situation with TXTR e-reader and report the latest news when available.
